Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Farro collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email support@farro.travel.
1. Who we are
Farro ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Farro website and services, which help travelers find hotel stays and flights that can be booked using rewards points and miles. This policy applies to information we collect through our website, product features, and communications.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your name, email address, and password when you sign up or join our waitlist.
- Preferences — the airlines, hotel brands, loyalty programs, and destinations you tell us you're interested in.
- Communications — messages you send us via email or support forms, and your responses to surveys.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches performed, clicks, and time spent on Farro.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and diagnostic information.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small text files or identifiers used to remember you, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used. See Cookies below for more.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from partners such as affiliate networks, analytics providers, and identity-verification services. We only accept data from third parties that have your permission or a legitimate legal basis to share it with us.
3. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Farro service;
- Personalize recommendations — for example, prioritizing deals from loyalty programs you already use;
- Send you transactional emails (password resets, security notices, booking-related updates);
- Send you marketing emails about new deals or product updates — you can unsubscribe at any time;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With Third-Party Providers (airlines, hotels, loyalty programs) at your direction, when you initiate a booking or transfer through us.
- With service providers that host our infrastructure, send our emails, and analyze our product usage, under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
- To comply with law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Farro, our users, or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of our assets, in which case we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Cookies
Farro uses cookies for three main purposes:
- Essential cookies that are required for the site to function (session management, security);
- Preference cookies that remember your settings (e.g. currency, preferred loyalty programs);
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it (for example, to resolve disputes or comply with tax and fraud-prevention obligations).
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and continuous monitoring — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection, but we take our obligations seriously and will notify affected users promptly if a breach materially impacts them.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions);
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Receive your information in a portable format and transmit it to another service;
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@farro.travel. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days).
9. Children's privacy
Farro is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Farro is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
